Efficacy and safety
Not actual patient
A study looked back at patients who had a fumarate medication switch and their development of lymphopenia,7 a known side effect of many DMTs in which patients’ lymphocyte counts drop below 1000 per microliter.8
The results showed that 56% of patients developed lymphopenia after switching from dimethyl fumarate (DMF) to Vumerity, compared to 0% of patients who switched to BAFIERTAM.7
BAFIERTAM is quickly eliminated from the body, with the active metabolite generally undetectable within 24 hours under fasting conditions.1
This means BAFIERTAM does not remain in the body for long after treatment is stopped. If you have questions about managing side effects, treatment changes, or stopping treatment, speak with your healthcare team.
